About FACP Sydney
Structure of the Church
FACP Church of Sydney (Greek: ΕΑΕΠ Σίδνεϊ) is governed and directed by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. It upholds the doctrine of the Apostles of the First Apostolic Church as it is described in the Book of Acts, the Epistles and generally in all the New Testament.
FACP Church of Sydney is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to spread the Word of God.
FACP Church of Sydney is a member of the Free Apostolic Church of Pentecost (Greek: Ελευθέρα Αποστολική Εκκλησία Πεντηκοστής) which counts more than 140 churches in Greece.
The Free Apostolic Church of Pentecost has churches and missions also in Cyprus, Albania, Bulgaria, Germany, Belgium, Slovakia, United Kingdom, U.S.A. (New York and Ohio), Australia and Africa.
Our Faith
What we believe
We believe in One and True God; The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
We believe that ‘all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work”. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
We believe that salvation is received only through the name of Jesus Christ;
‘And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved’. Acts 2:21
We believe that a person who is saved has been regenerated into a new life:
‘Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3
We believe in the Baptism of water (fully submersion) for the remission of sins;
‘Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:3-4
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit;
‘ And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:4
We believe in the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit;
‘ for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same[a] Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 1 Corinthians 12:8-11
We believe in the five ministries for the edification of the church;
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-12
We believe in the Rapture of the Church; As the Bride of Jesus Christ we are awaiting the Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ;
‘For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
